What is a Claude Code observability platform?

How is this different from Claude Code's built-in Analytics API?

Anthropic's Analytics API gives raw usage data per developer per day. CloudByte is the dashboard on top: session-level capture, project attribution, DORA-aligned multipliers, AI-summarized commits, prompt governance, SOC 2 audit trail, and BYOK. Complementary — you can pipe the Analytics API into CloudByte if you prefer.

What data leaves the developer's machine?

A sync agent reads the local Claude Code database and POSTs session metadata, prompts, and tool events to your org subdomain over TLS 1.2+. Data is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Self-host on your own AWS account for full data sovereignty.

Do developers have to change how they work?

No. The plugin installs once per machine (one command), registers Claude Code hooks, and captures in the background. Developers use Claude Code exactly as today. The dashboard is admin-side only.

How long until we see real dashboards?
